About Anna

Anna is a qualified counsellor with a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology and extensive experience supporting neurodivergent clients across educational, clinical, and care settings. She works from a trauma-informed perspective and is committed to creating safe, validating spaces for individuals who often feel misunderstood by systems not designed with neurodiversity in mind. With a strong foundation in empathy, patience, and relational depth, Anna has developed a highly adaptable therapeutic style. She is skilled at noticing and interpreting nonverbal communication and shaping sessions around each client's unique needs, sensory preferences, and communication style. Her professional background includes contributing to multidisciplinary teams, advocating for inclusive environments, and supporting services in adjusting their approaches to better meet the needs of autistic and other neurodivergent people.

Alongside therapeutic work, Anna offers psychoeducation and delivers training on understanding autism and meeting the needs of neurodivergent individuals. She recently provided training for care providers, helping teams build confidence, compassion, and practical strategies for supporting autistic adults.

Reflective practice is central to her work. Anna engages in regular personal therapy and fortnightly supervision with a counselling psychologist, ensuring that her practice remains ethically grounded, thoughtful, and emotionally attuned. Motivated by a deep passion for neurodiversity, Anna brings authenticity, flexibility, and appropriate self-disclosure to her sessions, helping clients feel seen and understood. Her experience across neurodivergent and SEN environments has influenced her belief that therapy should be collaborative, affirming, and tailored - supporting individuals to discover who they are beyond diagnosis and societal expectations.
