Psychological Therapy Services in Kent & Online for Adults and Children

Introducing Our New Psychological Therapy Services at Lycali 🌿

Supporting neurodivergent children, young people, families and adults—online and face to face.

At Lycali, we recognise that navigating life as a neurodivergent individual or family can feel overwhelming at times. Whether you’re adjusting to a recent diagnosis, supporting a young person through school or social pressures, or simply trying to understand your own emotional world better, having the right support makes all the difference.

That’s why we’re thrilled to announce the expansion of our service to include a range of evidence-based psychological therapies, available online and face to face. Our therapeutic team offers Counselling, CBT, DBT skills, EMDR and Play Therapy, ensuring each person can access the type of support that suits them best.

But alongside therapy, there is something else we value deeply at Lycali and that’s psychoeducation.

What Is Psychoeducation, and Why Does It Matter? 💡

Psychoeducation involves learning about how the brain works, why certain emotions or behaviours occur, and how different strategies can help. It’s an essential part of therapeutic support, especially for neurodivergent individuals and families.

Many people feel a sense of relief when they finally understand why certain challenges appear, and how to manage them. Knowledge reduces fear, builds confidence and helps people make informed choices about their wellbeing.

Psychoeducation empowers families to:

  • Understand how ADHD, autism or other neurodivergences impact daily life

  • Recognise the signs of emotional overwhelm or anxiety

  • Identify triggers and patterns

  • Use practical strategies to support regulation

  • Respond with compassion rather than frustration

  • Build stronger communication and connection

For young people, psychoeducation can be life-changing. It helps them feel understood, less alone and better equipped to navigate school, friendships and transitions.

🌟 Our New Therapeutic Services 🌟

Counselling

A gentle, client-led space to explore feelings, experiences and challenges with an attuned professional.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT offers practical tools to help with anxiety, low mood, unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours.
One of our newest practitioners, Stephanie, provides online CBT for young people (12+) and families, with flexible session lengths of 30 or 60 minutes. Her approach blends structure, creativity and psychoeducation depending on what the client needs in the moment.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Skills

DBT skills help young people manage strong emotions, improve communication and build distress tolerance. These tools are especially beneficial for teens who feel overwhelmed or struggle to regulate their emotions.

EMDR

A powerful therapy for processing trauma, phobias and difficult memories. EMDR can be offered online or in-person depending on clinical suitability.

Play Therapy

For younger children, play is their natural language. Play Therapy offers a safe environment for children to express themselves creatively, process experiences and build emotional resilience.

Online and Face-to-Face Support🌐

We’re committed to making mental health support accessible. That’s why many of our services are available online, offering flexibility for busy families and individuals.
Face-to-face sessions are also available for those who prefer a more traditional, in-room therapeutic experience.

Why This Matters🌱

Our goal is simple: to help every person, child, young person, parent or adult feel understood, supported and empowered.

By combining therapy with high-quality psychoeducation, we aim to give families the tools they need not just to cope, but to thrive.
