About Kathryn Scott

Kathryn is a Specialist Speech, and Language Therapist. Certified Member of the Royal College of Speech and language Therapists (Cert MRSCLT) and Registered Member of Health Professionals Council (Reg HCPC). Kathryn has worked as a Specialist Speech and Language therapist in mainstream schools and Additional Resource Provisions, and further works, independently supporting pre-school- primary children and young people at home, in school and online, (past 10 years).

Kathryn has extensive experience contributing to a vast number of Education Health Care Plan assessments, (EHCP), as well as implementing specific evidence-based intervention programmes and advice for children and young people with speech, language and communication needs, (SLCN). Providing training and support to families and school staff on how to support children with speech and language and communication difficulties.

Why Kathryn chose Speech and Language Therapy as a career?

Prior to her Speech and Language training Kathryn studied Language and Linguistics and became increasingly interested in all aspects of language and in speech and language therapy as a career. Kathryn enjoys working with children and young people and finds her job very rewarding when she sees young people receiving the support they need in reaching their full potential.
