Post-Diagnostic Psychoeducation Support
Lycali provides structured psychoeducation sessions for pupils following a new diagnosis of Autism, ADHD or another neurodevelopmental difference. These sessions help children and young people understand their diagnosis, recognise their strengths and develop practical strategies for school, home and everyday life.
Overview
A diagnosis can bring clarity, but pupils often need support to understand what it means for them personally. Our six-session psychoeducation programme provides a safe, strengths-based space for pupils to explore their neurodivergent identity, communication style, emotional regulation needs and practical strategies for learning.
Sessions can be delivered on a 1:1 basis or adapted for small groups of pupils with the same or similar diagnosis. Content is tailored to age, developmental stage, communication needs and school context.
The Lycali Framework
Our programme follows the Lycali Framework, supporting pupils to move from understanding their brain through to confidence, self-advocacy and independence.
