Adult Neurodivergent Coaching (18+)
Practical, personalised and strengths-based coaching to help you understand your needs, overcome everyday barriers and develop strategies that work for you. Supporting adults with ADHD, autism, executive functioning differences and other neurodivergent experiences.
Welcome to Lycali's Adult Coaching Pathway
Neurodivergent adults may experience a wide range of strengths and challenges across work, education, relationships, organisation and everyday life.
Some people seek coaching following a neurodevelopmental diagnosis, while others want practical support while considering assessment or exploring their individual needs.
Lycali's neurodivergent coaching provides a collaborative space to identify meaningful goals, understand current barriers and develop realistic strategies.
Support is personalised, neuro-affirming and focused on developing approaches that fit your life rather than expecting you to change who you are.
Coaching can be appropriate whether you have a confirmed diagnosis of ADHD, autism or another neurodevelopmental difference, or are exploring your support needs.
Your goals and individual circumstances will guide the support provided.
Coaching focuses on practical strategies, goal setting, motivation, self-understanding and everyday participation.
It does not diagnose neurodevelopmental conditions or replace psychological therapy, medical treatment or specialist mental health support.
If wider clinical support appears more appropriate, Lycali can discuss suitable alternatives.
Important: Before Your First Coaching Session
All required registration, consent and pre-session questionnaires must be completed before any booked coaching session can take place.
Please read your welcome letter, terms and conditions and invoice carefully. Missing mandatory documentation may mean your appointment needs to be rearranged.

Our administration team will confirm your coach, session dates, times and delivery arrangements.

We will confirm the arrangement before booking.
Pre-Coaching Questionnaires Through WriteUpp
Before coaching begins, we will request relevant background information and details of your support priorities.
All required questionnaires will be issued through WriteUpp, Lycali's clinical management system.
Questionnaire links will be emailed separately. Please complete them before your first session.
Adult Developmental History Questionnaire
Where relevant, this may explore your developmental background, learning experiences, health, employment, strengths, challenges and everyday functioning.
Psychoeducation, Coaching & Therapeutic Support Questionnaire
This explores your goals, interests, executive functioning, confidence, motivation, organisation, emotional regulation, daily routines and areas where support would be helpful.
Please set aside sufficient uninterrupted time to complete each questionnaire in one sitting.
Questionnaires cannot be saved part-way through or resubmitted once submitted.
Please check your answers carefully before selecting Submit.
Allow Enough Time
Have any relevant background information available before starting.
Cannot Save Progress
Partially completed questionnaires cannot be saved and resumed later.
One Submission Only
Once submitted, the same link cannot be used to submit again.
Please contact Lycali if you would like a copy of submitted questionnaire responses.
We can share a copy subject to appropriate identity and information-sharing checks.
If you notice an error after submitting, please contact our administration team.
All required registration, consent and pre-session questionnaires must be completed before any coaching session can take place.
Additional Questionnaires & Outcome Measures
Your coach may request additional measures to understand your goals or review progress.
- Executive functioning questionnaires.
- Goal-setting measures.
- Emotional wellbeing questionnaires.
- Organisation and time management reflections.
- Confidence and self-advocacy measures.
- Self-reflection and progress questionnaires.
Any required additional questionnaires will be issued through WriteUpp.
They support collaborative goal setting and help you reflect on the usefulness of strategies and progress over time.
These measures do not provide a neurodevelopmental diagnosis.
Your Initial Coaching Session
Your first coaching session provides an opportunity to get to know your coach, explore your priorities and agree meaningful goals for support.
Your coach will listen to your experiences and help identify practical areas where strategies or adjustments may be useful.
- Building rapport and discussing preferences.
- Exploring your strengths and interests.
- Understanding current difficulties or barriers.
- Identifying goals and priorities.
- Discussing coaching styles and expectations.
- Exploring previous strategies and experiences.
- Developing an initial coaching plan.
- Agreeing how progress will be reviewed.
You will normally attend coaching sessions directly with your coach.
A partner, family member or trusted supporter may be involved where appropriate and with your consent.
You remain central to the decisions and goals agreed throughout coaching.
Choosing Your Coaching Focus
Neurodivergent coaching is not a single fixed programme that looks the same for everyone.
The approach will be shaped by your experiences, priorities and the coach's training and expertise.
ADHD-Informed Coaching
ADHD-informed coaching may focus on executive functioning, task initiation, planning, organisation, time management, maintaining routines and recognising individual strengths.
Strategies are adapted to your daily responsibilities and personal goals.
Autism-Informed Coaching
Autism-informed coaching may explore sensory needs, communication preferences, managing change, identifying helpful adjustments, self-advocacy and balancing everyday demands.
The focus is on developing approaches that respect your neurodivergent identity and individual needs.
Neurodivergent Life Coaching
Broader life coaching may focus on confidence, goal setting, relationships, routines, independence, employment goals, decision-making and managing life changes.
It can help you identify priorities and develop practical ways to move towards them.
Many adults experience overlapping neurodivergent traits or support needs.
Your coaching programme can consider these together rather than requiring you to choose one single focus.
The practitioner will work within their training, experience and professional scope.
Ongoing Coaching Sessions
Ongoing coaching sessions are personalised to your goals and may combine reflection with practical activities and strategies.
Depending on your agreed package, coaching may take place over a structured block of sessions or through individual appointments.
- Executive functioning and task initiation.
- Organisation and planning.
- Time management.
- Prioritisation and decision-making.
- Managing overwhelm and emotional regulation strategies.
- Building confidence and self-understanding.
- Understanding sensory and environmental needs.
- Developing communication and self-advocacy skills.
- Workplace routines and professional goals.
- Relationships, boundaries and social demands.
- Life transitions and managing change.
- Independent living and daily responsibilities.
- Problem-solving and practical goal attainment.
Lycali offers six-session coaching packages where appropriate, but the number of sessions you need will depend on your goals and circumstances.
A six-session block is not a guarantee that all goals will be achieved within that time.
Any additional sessions and fees will be discussed before booking.
Personalised Goals & Practical Strategies
Coaching focuses on developing strategies that you can use outside the session in everyday life.
Your coach will work collaboratively with you to identify manageable actions and review which approaches are helpful.
- Creating a manageable morning or evening routine.
- Breaking large tasks into smaller steps.
- Developing a realistic planning system.
- Reducing barriers to starting important tasks.
- Preparing for workplace conversations.
- Identifying sensory or environmental adjustments.
- Communicating needs more confidently.
- Managing appointments and commitments.
- Building confidence in decision-making.
- Exploring strategies for transitions and change.
Not every strategy will work for every person.
Your coach will help you test, adapt or replace strategies based on your experiences.
The focus is on finding approaches that are realistic and sustainable for you.
Progress Review & Next Steps
Your coach will review progress towards your agreed goals throughout your support programme.
Towards the end of an agreed coaching block, you will have an opportunity to reflect on progress, strategies and future priorities.
- Goals achieved or progress made.
- Strategies that have been helpful.
- Changes in confidence or independence.
- Remaining barriers or difficulties.
- Strategies to continue using.
- Changes needed to existing approaches.
- Further coaching or specialist support needs.
Where appropriate, your coach may help you develop a practical ongoing action plan to use independently.
Some people continue using their strategies independently. Others may benefit from further coaching or another support service.
If appropriate, Lycali can discuss psychological therapies, workplace needs assessment, functional needs assessment or other specialist services separately.
Any additional services and fees will be agreed before booking.
Coaching Fees & Additional Charges (If They Apply)
Your coaching fee will be confirmed before booking and outlined in your invoice.
Lycali may offer individual coaching sessions or a six-session package, depending on the agreed service.
