Introducing the L.Y.C.A.L.I Framework™

A New Approach in Development

At Lycali, we regularly support individuals and families navigating autism, ADHD, and dyslexia. One of the most consistent challenges we see is not the process of diagnosis itself—but what happens next.

For many, diagnosis brings clarity.
But it also brings uncertainty.

What support is actually needed? Where do you start? What does meaningful progress look like?

The Challenge Beyond Diagnosis

Across the UK, increasing numbers of individuals are receiving neurodevelopmental diagnoses. However, structured and accessible post-diagnostic support remains limited.

Many individuals and families are left to:

  • Navigate multiple services without a clear pathway

  • Piece together strategies from different sources

  • Advocate for support in education or the workplace

  • Manage day-to-day challenges without consistent guidance

This gap is something we see every day—and something we are actively working to change.

A Framework in Development

Since Stephanie left the NHS in 2022, there has been a clear vision to develop a more structured, accessible approach to post-diagnostic support.

Like many ideas shaped alongside clinical work and service delivery, this development has taken time.

Now, the timing is right.

The Lycali team are currently developing the L.Y.C.A.L.I Framework™—a structured model designed to support individuals beyond diagnosis.

While still in development, the framework is being shaped by:

  • Clinical experience across neurodevelopmental assessment and therapy

  • Real-world insight from working with individuals, families, and education settings

  • A strong focus on practical, meaningful outcomes

Built Around Real Life

A key focus of the L.Y.C.A.L.I Framework™ is ensuring that support is not only clinically informed, but also practical and accessible.

This includes recognising that individuals may experience:

  • Differences in communication

  • Variability in attention, regulation, and energy

  • Challenges with learning, including dyslexia

  • A need for support that works across home, education, and work environments

The aim is to move away from fragmented approaches, towards something more consistent and joined-up.

Looking Ahead

The L.Y.C.A.L.I Framework™ is still evolving, and we are taking a considered, phased approach to its development.

Our focus is on creating something that is:

  • Clear and accessible

  • Grounded in real-world application

  • Adaptable across different ages and settings

  • Designed with scalability in mind

As the framework continues to develop, we look forward to sharing more.

A Step Towards Something Better

At Lycali, we believe diagnosis should not be the end of the journey—it should be the beginning of meaningful support.

The development of the L.Y.C.A.L.I Framework™ reflects our commitment to improving what comes next, helping individuals and families feel more supported, informed, and confident moving forward.
