The first coaching session focuses on building rapport, identifying strengths, exploring current challenges and agreeing meaningful goals for support.

The first session may include:

  • Identifying strengths and interests
  • Goal setting and prioritisation
  • Exploring barriers and challenges
  • Developing an initial coaching plan
  • Discussing any reasonable adjustments required

Parents, carers or family members may attend part of the session where appropriate, although coaching is primarily focused on supporting the young person directly.

Ongoing Coaching Sessions

Coaching sessions are personalised to the individual and may focus on:

  • Executive functioning skills

  • Confidence and self-esteem
